Common Problems That Require Orthodontic Treatment:
Misaligned teeth, crooked or crowded teeth, impacted tooth and malocclusion of the teeth are among the common conditions that require orthodontic treatments.
Misaligned teeth may be due to the early loss of baby or adult teeth, incorrect fit of fillings, gingivitis, excessive pressure on teeth gums and jaw trauma.
Meanwhile, crooked or crowded teeth could be experienced by kids as small as five years old. It could be associated with numerous factors including problems with mouth breathing, tongue thrusting, reverse swallowing as well as thumb sucking.
Impacted tooth is also a common orthodontic condition that happens when an individual’s wisdom teeth or third set of molars fail to erupt properly. They may be wedged within the bone or gum tissue. Overcrowding is one probable cause. It could also come about when the jaw is way too small for the wisdom tooth to fit.
Another common orthodontic problem is malocclusion. The condition can also be genetically related. It could also be brought on by a difference in the size of the lower and upper jaws. It could also be caused by birth problems like cleft lip and palate.
