You Should Get An Orthodontic Treatment If You Have These Conditions

Misaligned teeth – commonly triggered by premature loss of baby or adult teeth It can also be brought on by the inaccurate fit of fillings or crowns, gingivitis, extreme pressure on teeth and gums as well as jaw injury.

Crooked or crowded teeth – this condition can be seen in children as young as 5 years old. This can be due to mouth breathing, tongue thrusting, reverse swallowing as well as thumb sucking.

Impacted tooth – this condition generally occurs when a person’s third set of molars remains stuck in gum tissue or bone for several factors like overcrowding, having a jaw that’s not big enough for the wisdom tooth to fit, twisted, tilted, displaced teeth when it tries to emerge through the gums.

Malocclusion of the teeth – usually attributed to genetic makeup. It may be due to a difference in the size of the upper and lower jaws or between the jaw and tooth size. These bring about overcrowding or improper bite patterns. Malocclusions could also be caused by birth defects like cleft lip and palate.
