When Do You Require An Orthodontic Service:
Some of the typical problems that require orthodontic treatments include misaligned teeth, crooked or crowded teeth, impacted teeth, and malocclusion of the teeth.
Misaligned teeth may be caused by the early loss of baby or adult teeth, improper fit of fillings, gingivitis, too much pressure on gums and teeth, and jaw trauma.
Meanwhile, children as young as five years old can have a crooked or crowded teeth. It can be associated with several factors including problems with mouth breathing, tongue thrusting, reverse swallowing as well as thumb sucking.
An impacted tooth is also a typical orthodontic condition that happens when an individual’s wisdom teeth or third set of molars fails to erupt properly. They might be wedged within the bone or gum tissue. Overcrowding is one probable cause. It can also come about when the jaw is too small for the tooth to fit.
Another common orthodontic problem is malocclusion. The condition can be inherited and can also be due to a difference in the size of the lower and upper jaws and birth defects like cleft lip and palate.
